Edit: From my electronics knowledge (I'm not only active on this forum, y'know! I have another favorite forum, where I have over 2,000 posts), I know why your iPhone camera performed so poorly. It is because you took the picture in a poorly lit area and the image sensor in the phone performs very poorly in low light situations.
