I think the ASC and S3X are simular in design and ratio, the shifts are very close and at speed almost seamless.
The shifting is the same, but the S3X gives a wider range than the ASC.
S3X = 1.00, 0.75, 0.625
ASC = 1.00, 0.90, 0.75
