Any frequent 101 riders see these guys today?

Apparently, a man and his son are cycling from San Diego to Vermont in order to raise funds or campaign for PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)..

The father is a gulf war vet (I think) and his son hasn't served. Not to sure about that part though..

Anyways, I was cycling on the 101 today around 1:30 P.M (Beautiful day out I might add)... and I glanced in the north bound lane (Around downtown del mar area) and I Happened to see two men trecking up the hill carrying MASSIVE amounts of sleeping bags and gear, (WTF.. I thought) I had never seen anyone carry that much supplies on a bike before and I have seen cross country tour riders.

It was on my mind all day and I flipped on channel 10 news tonight and THERE THEY WERE. I chuckled and smiled...

Anyone else see these guys today? Apparently they are sleeping in carlsbad right now... IF I can find the news story I'll post a link for sure.
