Well, it hit the scale on my way home from work, and BOY HOWDY was I way off in my guess. Yes, it is hella lightness compared to my previous 4130 frame/fork meant for a rigid 29er. No, it is not anywhere near the 17.5 mark. Or 18. Or 19 for that matter.
It's 21 pounds, right on the money.

I often forget that I am a Sasquatch, not a dainty 140 pounder a foot shorter than my actual height. Manufacturers claim their weights against 54 and 55cm frames decked out in lightweight components. Not 60s decked out for the samsquantch.
