Fargo Street Hill Climb (Los Angeles)

The annual Fargo Street Hills Climb, with its 33% grade, takes place this Sunday, about 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.

It's a zany Los Angeles tradition, dating back more than four decades. The location: just east of Glendale Blvd., in the Silverlake/Echo Park area, at the intersection of Allesandro and Fargo Street.

Most people have difficulty walking up the hill. This year, in addition to road and mountain bikes, and the guy who shows up on a unicycle, and the people on inline skates, a team of Elliptigo riders will try to summit the steepest street in town.
