Most shops don't stock every version of a model. FYI, they could order it and probably have it in a few days. If you're trying to stay on a budget this Bikes Direct bike would be a good option (small amount of assembly required.) I can't imagine going back to twist grips after having trigger shifters but I do live in a hilly area.
