No. The ETA lever simply drops the fork, allowing only about 30mm of travel. Release the knob and it springs back up to full travel. It does nothing to the "plushness" of the fork. It is intended simply to lower the angle of your bike when you attack a steep hill, and it works fairly well in that regard.

PS - I have a Rockhopper Comp with this fork as well. It is a good combo.
