Not done many road centuries on the road bike but did quite a few on the MTB. I got into enduros and they were good fun---Afterwards. 100 miles offroad is not much fun by mile 80. Luckily I came to my senses in 2006 after one horrific one with gale force winds on wet clay trails and got a road bike. Still have enough sense to say the Metrics are comfortable and further is not.
