After more than a week off the bike for a passel of good and bad reasons, had a late afternoon ride,
28 miles through Lexington, Bedford, and Billerica. Out on the Minuteman and the Narrow-Gauge Rail Trail, back on Dudley Road with its history, haunts, and crocodalian pavement, followed by the staged hill climb up Page Road and brisk descent (30.9 mph, speedy for my slow self and a technical violation of the posted speed limit) down Grove Street, home by dusk. Felt good.
