Unable to get the yosts link to load a Google route onto my eTrex with IE or Chrome. Author, Kyle Yosts, admitted there had been a lot of complaints and suggested a work around that did not work either. The app works fine for him of course, and dorky too I guess. The work around suggested the eTrex would not accept the file, so maybe that is the problem.

Addenda:

Garmin's Communicator is required for direct movement of route files to their units. Just learned that Communicator will not work with IE9, the one I use. Likely will with Firefox, Chrome, and older versions of IE. When I tried a different app under Chrome, it stated the eTrex will not support the file. Got that msg with two different apps using Chrome, so eTrex is part of the problem for sure when trying to convert a Google route to a useable gps format.
