Great work Eugene! I sure wasn't in the mood for hill repeats after this hard ride.

Date of Ride: 4/28/2012
Name of organized ride or route: L'Étape du California
Actual Mileage: 100.4 mi
Ride Time: 7:08
Total Time: 8:14
Altitude Climbed: 11,214 ft
Ride Synopsis: Fun ride. Tough, but not an ordeal like last Saturday. It was pretty hot on the switchbacks, but thankfully they had water at the Azusa aid station this year. Was leap-frogging with Floyd Landis throughout the ride (he was just out cruising and enjoying the day with his friends), and at the last aid station I thanked him for reminding me to enjoy the ride. I was so wrapped up in beating my time last year, that I was making myself miserable. Not sure, but I think I was 7 minutes slower--about 6:42 to the lifts, but I believe this ride was also 3 miles longer than last year's route. Still waiting for the l'Etape results. A really, really enjoyable day with lots of friends out and familiar faces.

Looks like the results focus only on the KOM challenge sections , but it looks like I finished 143rd overall, (146th last year):
