hello from western Massachusetts
Well, I'm back on a bike. I've not ridden much since I was 18 years old. Upon returning to college at age 41 I needed to make some financial choices which lead me to give up a motor vehicle. I have been riding public transit to school (commuting for now) and after being given a cheap bike last summer have become very interested in biking once again. The bike I was riding last summer didn't last long. It was a Dicks Sporting goods Quest hybrid type of bike. The rear hub from what I understand is shot. So.. this past week I visited my LBS who set me up with a Raleigh Cadent FT2. I will be picking it up tomorrow afternoon( pretty stoked), I'm having them install the fenders, bottle, and bar ends. I ordered a Topeak rack, along with the drop panniers which I plan to install. I have yet to decide on a front and rear light. Other than that I'm good to go!
