Everything the previous writers have said is true. I live just outside SLC. Greatest variety is probably here. All 3 locations are good, although lifestyles can be noticeably more conservative in Logan and Provo. You didn't mention skiing, but if you like mountains that might be a factor. Provo and Logan have much less skiing in terms of resorts. SLC has truly world-class downhill at Alta and Snowbird, and 5 other resorts as well. Also a lot of rock climbing in SLC, don't know about the others although I'm sure they have some as well. Overall, outdoor quality of life and weather is outstanding in Utah. Except for no ocean, it's a s good as it can get.
