It always cracks me up when people who should know better (photographers working with a lot of digital media, every art/design "instructor" I've ever had, etc) relate dpi to quality. I've yet to be able to convince any of them (admittedly, I don't try very hard) that the term DPI means nothing unless you know the size the image needs to be produced at.
