So if you had a choice between going for the hour world record in your age group, or a win at track worlds, where would you point that stick?
If I were in shape to break the hour record, I might just win the track worlds for fun as part of my training programme.
Seriously, I am never going to face this choice unless I stay injury-free into my nineties. But I'm a bit of a romantic. The hour has a mystique like nothing else, IMO.
