Pity about the NO PIE but hot fudge is a good replacement. And today's event on the river Thames was a bit damp. 1,000 boats of all types that could get under the bridges so no big ships in the cavalcade. Watched it on TV and it was wet. The procession was led by a Tug pushing a barge holding the Jubilee bells (As in church bells) playing a full peel the whole way. Followed by the most fantastic Row-Barge you could imagine. If any of you have the chance to watch a programme of it- then do. Two highlights for me- The last boat contained the Royal Philharmonic Orchesta playing Traditional maritime Songs- The Sailors Hornpipe- Rule Britannia- etc and it was fantastic but eclipsed by the boat in front of the Royal Barge containing the heralds and 6 Buglers from the Royal Marines announcing the presence of her majesty on Silver Horns. And did I say it was wet? The final part was cancelled due to the weather which was supposed to be SuperMarine Aircraft (Sea version of the Spitfire) flying through tower bridge.
