i hope you have a better experience than i had 2 years ago. I did the first annual tour de cure here in sacramento and it was terrible. I did the ride in tribute of my step mom who passed away to diabetes so the ride meant a lot to me. My GF decided to do it as well so our pace was a little slow but still averaged 15mph. However do to the extreme winds (over 30mph) the food stations packed up early and when a lot of us riders go to food stations there was nothing there! Then at the end of the race everyone was gone at 2pm! needless to say we did not do it again this past year
