Bob Jackson conversion completed! I pulled over on my daily commute to take these. I'm very lucky to live in Norfolk!
Mudguards (I live in England!) are laminated hardwood blind slats with Meccano fixings and gorgeous brass screw cups as washers. Music case pannier from local junk shop.
Square lashing with linen thread made a neat cable fix.
I wanted something different which didn't cost a fortune so I made all the leather and wooden stuff and almost all the rest is second hand or from my existing bike. It's now my only bike ( apart from a family tandem ), and I did a century on it last month. My wife is now on a similar path to simplicity and fun, so I'll post hers when it's finished!
