Replacing my fork

I picked up a '96 Trek 2300 road bike that had a serious problem with the handlebar stem frozen in the fork tube. After trying every trick in the book, I cut the handlebar stem and removed the fork thinking that I could heat the fork tube and get the stem out. No luck! the stem is in the fork forever. I want to look on ebay for a fork but I'm not sure of the measurements. The threaded portion of the fork is 1" OD so do I need to be looking for a 1" threaded fork with a non integrated headset? Also, if anyone has one laying around, please let me know.
Thanks
