You know it is sad but Robert was one of the guys that always thought he'd never do GMR. We talked him up there and he did fine. One thing I can say, is that he did "the big ride" when he had the chance, happy we were there with him.
I still can't believe it.
Good on you Beanz. Good for encouraging him to go further than he thought he could, and good for staying in touch after he became ill.
No doubt getting up GMR was something he was very proud of the rest of his life.
And having somebody stay in contact when you are sick can be huge, too.
