Just for giggles, here's my last bike - it's an old Merlin Road from back when Tom Kellogg was there, probably circa 1988 and yes, it's still in outstanding shape. It had old, barely functional Dura Ace 8 spd on it, so I bought a bike build kit (mostly SRAM Force with Red shifters) and built 'er up. I rode it for about two years before I realized it was just a bit too big (I think it's a 61 cm), and that aluminum fork didn't do my fillings any favors either.

Now mine WAS noodly in the BB area - I'd get chain rub when I stood up and got busy. My new frame exhibits none of that behavior.

I still have the frame if anybody wants to try a classic Ti frame from the 80s.
