OK, I should at least defend myself a little here. First, Mrs. Pumper has been asked if she wants a new bike. Her answer is no, she is liking the road bike that I am fixing up for her for now. We will see how she likes riding it and what she likes and dislikes about it. Then if she keeps riding and wants a new bike, we will get one for her. No need to spend the money on something she doesn't ride. Second, about my new bike. I came across my dream bike for a price that was incredibly cheap . It should be my lifetime road bike, and Mrs. Pumper actually gave me her blessing to get it. I am using some money that I had tucked away for restoring a classic vehicle that we have. I am going to sell the vehicle since it does not fit in our lifestyle anymore, and the bike will see more use then the vehicle ever did. Finally, I plan on getting Mrs. Pumper more then a pair of gloves and bike glasses for our anniversary. I am lucky to have her, and I am proud of the effort she is making!!
