I really think that time, not intensity or energy, will be your determining factor. If you have a family, riding 22 miles a day, plus spending a good amount of time working out (not sure exactly what an insanity workout is, but guessing something like P90x to some degree). If you have the time, you should be fine. If you are pressed for time already, see if you can eliminate something. If not, then you may not be able to do both.

22 miles a day is a nice workout, but it would depend on how often you ride. 2x/ week probably not enough. 4x/week is a pretty good workout.
