Bull****. Riding that 3-4 times a week is a good amount of exercise that will burn a decent chunk of calories. If you are currently maintaining your weight, and you dont start eating more, you will start losing weight.
I would know, I lost a good ten pounds over a summer biking to my workplace which was half your distance.
OP was wondering if there would be any benefit derived from riding 22 miles r/t twice a week, which apparently is the current weekly commuter mileage.
