I've said it before and I'll say it again. Posts on topics like this are not at all off topic. These kinds of posts are precisely ON topic, because it's so we can celebrate events like this that we participate in this crazy sport. Cycling may well have saved my life when I was fighting colon cancer. In the absence of cycling, I may not have been able to celebrate my 30th anniversary this year. Many others here have battled health troubles way worse than mine, and cycling is a big part of why they also are still here. The point (or at least a big point) of cycling at our age is to improve our quality of life, and to enjoy the 36th anniversary, the 46th, 56th, and more. So, Bill, no more of this OT stuff.
