This morning my wife and I did part of the second annual memorial ride for Zach Manago, an Oahu cyclist who was killed by a hit and run motorist in 2010.
Some info
here -- although the report doesn't mention that the perp's car was found not by the police but by the victim's buddies, who rode around the area on their bikes until they located it.
This morning's portion of the ride began with a brief rally behind the state capitol building. There were about 100 cyclists there I think. Also an appearance by one of the three candidates in this year's mayoral election. I can say that he picked up at least two votes.
