Hit and run driver, League City, Texas.

Story just found in Houston Chronicle paper. Driver hit and
run a cyclist here in this area.

Bits from the story:
A bicyclist was hit Saturday by a hit-and-run driver in a gray or silver Dodge pickup on FM 646 in League City.

The bicyclist, struck from behind at 5:58 p.m., was thrown into a ditch.

The driver fled, dragging the bicycle for 1 1/2 miles, to the corner of Hill and Deats Road, where it dislodged.

Rest of the story can be found at the Chronicle link.

I myself ride that road on occasion. It's what I would classify as a moderatly high risk path due to the
narrow 'emergency lane' and speedy angry drivers that zoom down the road there. Lately I've been avoiding going down 646 due to my conclusion it wasn't worth risking. Too many automotive and truck drivers in this area seem to enjoy cruising as close as they can to cyclists.

Need more traffic cops on steroids running around.

I hope they find the driver and hang the slimeball. But we all know , sadly, how lax law enforcement has been, nationwide, when it comes to cyclists being struck by automotive drivers.

LEt's hope the cyclist recovers.
