The photographers around here don't make much direct money off of they cycling shots. They use it to market other services, like wedding or portrait photos. I'll guarantee that most of the 200 or so frequent Austin racers will give these guys a shot at their business for the real shoots.

Ping the photographer. Around here, they just put up all 1500 race photos from the day w/out any editing. If you see one you like, they will light it, color it, develop (if RAW), and crop it. For my one really big win, it was his favorite shot of the day and the photographer was hoping I would contact him to buy a photo. He edited it and gave me a low res sample to approve the crop and editing.

Also, you don't need PS editing. Just RAW processing is all that's needed for a very high quality sports photo. No need to do any pixel editing -- just levels and such.

Lastly, why the hell would anyone expect someone to edit a photo and deal with a transaction for any less than $10 for a low res (800px) digital shot?
