An 'atypical' raleigh Folder?

This probably should be in the Folding Bikes Forum but since it's C & V in my mind, I thought I would post it here.

Wanted a Raleigh Folder forever, and this one popped up on the local CL:

After reading Sheldon Brown's and John Allen's webpages on the subject, I went into the deal expecting a long
term project but found this when I got there:

SR Idol cotterless crank set, S/A 3 speed AW hub date stamped 1980, Dia Compe sidepulls with D/C Tourist levers,
Araya 16 x 1.75" ALLOY rims, a stem that appears to have an expander bolt, alloy fenders AND a more modern fork!

Head badge says "The Raleigh", but the Nottingham designation is absent.

My question is this... was the Folder produced somewhere other than the UK, and what did I stumble onto here?
My guess is that it's a Taiwan production bike based on the crank, brakes and fork.

Hoping 65'er or other folder aficionados will pipe in with their insights, and yes, I know about that seat... I wish I had a
Ford 8N to mount it on!

Thanks for looking!

I don't know why when you edit photos in PB they don't post the way you edited them... sorry 'bout that!
