I'm confused by your shifter comment. How do they differ from the Trek to the Cannondale? I would think they would be similar in function.
They are pretty close in style trigger (Trek) vs. lever ( Dale) it might just be me learning as I go on the Trek it was real easy right side trigger you shift up, upper and in front of the grip and thumb latch was down shift lower under grip. Hold the shifter till it changed gears was very smooth and shifted quickly. If you wanted to drop way down in gear hold in the thumb latch all the way and it kind of reset.
On the Dale I tried holding the shifter till it switches and just bumping it, sometimes it will go up one gear sometimes two or three and sometimes it hangs in-between and rubs. I figure it needs adjustment to stop the hang. Just had a better ability to hit the gear I wanted on the Trek. The Dale would be perfect with the Shimano EF50 trigger, 8 speed shifters. And maybe some little bit narrower tires.
