All three of my kids and my wife need new bikes. The old ones are just BSOs and they got left in the weather too long last winter. Lots of rust. I'd like to get her on a bike and then hook up a tow bar to be sure she keeps up with her older brother and sister.

I'm really enjoying my short break in rides. I'm looking forward to loading up some books on tape on the mp3 player and riding by the chapter. It seems awful daunting, but I even have ideas about commuting, though that is 25 miles each way and either about 2000 feet of climbing or the freeway.

I think I'll work on a job closer to home first.

Or maybe I can work the intercity bus into the plan. It stops about four miles away from here and a mile from work.
