Hard, tough workout yesterday so today's ride was going to be more mellow. Decided on the tank which equals a slow ride.



Heading up the hill where a black bear crossed in front of me last spring:



The junction - today's turnaround spot. The photo doesn't do it justice - but that hill to the right is almost 3 miles long and one of the steepest I've ridden in awhile - not today.





The great thing about riding in the hills on hot days is the cool off at the turnaround - unfortunately there were a lot of flies out this afternoon:
