It's basically just a coil spring and fake shock inside of it. Cheapish version of a shock. i want to either convert it to a hardtail or replace it with a cheaper, but better, real shock and spring. This is my starter bike and I want to learn from it as I go before I get serious with the higher brand bikes.

I was thinking of stuffing the inside of the fake shock with something that'll hold my weight. But at the same time, I wouldn't mind getting a slightly better, and realistic, type of coil sprung-shock that would actually do some dampening. I spent VERY little on this bike so upgrading some parts would not really bother me as long as it's under a hundred bucks LOL. The brakes are good, shifters are good, seat sucks but I can live with it, and everything else works as is except for the rear shock. Bouncy it is.....
