You do know that the Podium 6 and 7 are sold at Performance, or have been. They are suspeciously simular to the CF Schwinn bikes, Series 8 and 9 except with SRAM (and a bit like Performance house brand Scattante?) The hard sell is they sit side by side with Fuji and Focus that has a better reputation with people willing to part with the money for a $2500.00 to $5000.00 road bike. It isn't that a Diamondback would be a bad buy with Ultegra as in the Podium 6s case but enthusiasts see Diamondbacks at places like DSG and assume the bikes are maybe in the same class of quality? If then a rider can get a Focus, Fuji, or other name brand that other club riders ride or that they see in races they will be more likely to part with their hard earned money for a "department Store" bike or a better known road bike? Not that the Series 6-7 are department store bikes.
