The easiest path forward would be drop bars, barcons and the 6sp Campy gruppo I have laying around. Toss on a rear rack and call it a day. I generally have not been pleased with the drops/barcons combination.

Basically I'm thinking of the following combinations:

Mustache bars/barcons
Albatross bars/barcons
Albatross/thumbies
Positano/thumbies
drops/barcons

Another possibility for it is definitely out there...

Milano or risers...deore 7sp trigger shifters, Deore triple crank, 7sp RX100 derailleurs and 700c 7sp index wheels. I was going to build my wife's frame with that combination, but ended up with a different bike/frame and she likes it with the drop bars and 6sp index DT shifters.

sorry to disappoint (and I'd rather have the Palo Alto, Masis aren't the big deal round' these parts).
