To me, Centurion is just another of a long line of marketing companies. They did not make a single bike, but they did a nice job of choosing others to build bikes from them. The 1970s and 1980s was full of such brands: Centurion, Univega, Nishiki, Lotus, etc. I have had nice bikes from all of them, currently have a Centurion, Lotus, and Univega in the "collection". Oh yeah, and my favorite Schwinns were all made by Panasonic.

I really like the 1970s Centurions.

Please don't confuse ebay "asking" prices with "selling" prices. Many sellers never get their ask price. some are far from it. Value is determined once an item actually SELLS. Its easy enough to check SOLD prices.
