Throw some racks on there and you'll instantly be in touring mode!
I've noticed the Crestas started using cantilever brakes sometime in 1983 making 1982 the last year Nishiki used caliper brakes on Crestas. It makes sense they made the switch though since cantilever brakes are better than calipers for stopping a heavily loaded touring bike (IMO).
