Ride report etc..

Today I had the opportunity to properly test my preloved Dahon MuP8.

Brief ride overall, in fits and spurts but got saddle time - that's what matters eh?

Still getting used to the derailleur system, it required some concentration to actually shift!

The stock folding pedals are slippery if you've got anything but trainers on. I think I'll need to change that.

The ride was much better than my old bike in terms of twitchiness, far better.

Gears were good, able to tackle an incline far easier than with my old bike.

The bad: there was an awful creaking from the handlepost. Also some fore and aft play, not side to side. Creaking was marked when going uphill. The frame hinge felt fine, solid and not a peep from it.

Dunno what I have to do, that handlepost noise is horrible. Overwhelms what's a nice ride. I need to sort that somehow.

Thanks folks.
