Sorry to cause a fuss; so not my intent.
I never thought the bike stolen; that was offered by the gentleman who I was sitting with at 4 Corners. I did think, and I admit it, it odd that someone does not know a model of bike they are riding. It was fairly new and looked expensive. Generally, but I admit not always, people buying those bikes can tell you "...its a Specialized blah blah blah, the components are blah-blah-blah", etc. After the man said it was stolen I did wonder if that could be the case since the rider knew nothing of the bike which is why I posted here to get your opinions.
I am still of the assumption the man was sold a bike and didn't know what he bought... he just knew it was a "29er" (rather or not it fit him was irrelevant) and it was discounted. Good enough for some people... would love to know what shop sold him the bike... I would have more a bone to pick with the shop than anything else.
