With any luck, I'm going to do two rides. The first is Hill City to Custer and back. I'd like to see the Crazy Horse from the trail. Then the next will be Deadwood to Rochford and back. I want to do the second early in the morning, hopefully to see some wildlife along the trail.

the best stops for pix on day 1 are between crazy h and custer the trail coming into
deadwood isnt very exciting dont go out of your way to start in deadwood sorry bout saying rocheport (katy trial) vs rochford i meant rochford
mho is you'd have a more scenic ride starting 10 miles south of deadwood (edgewood?) trail head and then continuing 10 miles beyond rochport
