It seems wikipedia can be wrong! A veteran seller of old bikes and parts down at a bike "jumble sale" here tells me they were still being "knocked out" here in the UK right to the end of the nineties.

Perhaps I'll get around to logging in and editing Wikipedia sometime, but that could get complicated! I'm going to trust in the decal on my 90's bike though, which declares "British built"
