I got ran off the road once and called the police (they don't like being called cops
) and they sent two cruisers out immediately. I had gotten the car's license plate and gave it to them. I didn't expect much and told them I didn't want to press charges or anything. So the officer suggests that he goes down with the other car and give the driver a 'reminder' (wink and a nod) that there are bicycles on the road too. I thought that was pretty cool. This was in a very bike friendly town, so I wasn't too surprised.
