I am glad to hear that the Mrs. is starting to get the bug. I gotta recommend the Specialized Vita. My wife test rode about 5-7 bikes earlier this year and she said they all felt the same (including the Trek Fx). Then she tried the Specialized Sirrus, and loved it. After that I convinced her to try the Vita (the womens version of the Sirrus) and she was totally sold. Like you said it was the first time my wife was able to vocalize the differences between one bike and another.
