That is ALWAYS true. And you can't compare the two. Because you can still lose the 2 lbs after owning a lighter bike. somebody telling me to lose 2 lbs is cheaper wouldn't realize that some people like myself are already at Ideal cycling weight. The next step is being undernourished for the rides because it's cheaper than buying a nicer bike? No thanks doctor interwebs. Granted, I am certainly not going to run out and spend 10k on a bike simply because I'm not fast enough to be needing a better bike. I just need better motor, which in my case may include eating more or more nutritionally efficient anyways as apposed to the simply answer of Lose 2 lbs.
