consider an "italian road bike " mirror that fits on the end of your handle bar, held in place by your handlebar tape. have one on my road bike, hardly notice it is there, provides a reasonable rear view, is light weight, doesn't get knocked out of place - it really works well. downside- it is a little harder to install than most other mirrors
