What I really like about the Hotspot which I haven't seen on the other rear lights, is the pulse option. I think its Cygolite calls it zoom, but to me its really a pulse. Its not as annoying as a quick flash, but still catches your attention. Any of those other lights have that?
According to one blogger's
review, one of the two flash modes appears to use a "pulse width modulation to fade in and out". If you follow the link in Dunbar's post, you'll see the videos and pics that I was referring to in post #2. A simple Google video search will not return any results for the Solas.
