Bike Hash

Anyone doing bike hash in your country? So what is bike hash?

This is quite similar to running hash except that it is done with bicycles. This is a social non-competitive event where members take turns to lay a trail that provides at least 2 hours of fun riding in a loop, starting and ending in the same place over varied terrain. The hares will lay the trail with toilet paper or chalk. (toilet paper and chalk is bio-degradable). The pack will try to follow the route laid out by the hares. Obstacles along the way will keep the group together - water crossing, dead-end route (back-check), fallen tree, etc. The hares will point the pack in the general direction and they have to search for paper trail. And when paper is sighted, shouts of 'On On' will get everyone headed in the right direction. Do click on to the website below to find out more about Singapore Bike Hash.

Well, we started back in 1989 and we have chalked up more than 400 rides... We have a grand master, hash cash(treasurer), hash brew(he's in charge of the drinks), scribe (ride reports / pics), and without the hares there can be no rides... Members have to pay annual membership and get to enjoy all the events. Non-members can also join in by paying $10 per local ride. This will help defray the costs of drinks at the end of each ride.

Feel free to poke around the hash website .... On-On
