A very Happy 237 birthday to all my fellow Marines, active duty, veterans, retired, all Marines for life. Without the service of all veterans we wouldn't enjoy the freedoms we have. Thanks to all those who served, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARINE CORPS, Hope the various USMC birthday rides and Veteran's Day rides around the country go off well and all the riders have beautiful weather and a tailwind the entire route.
Also, please keep my brother, Eddie, in your thoughts and prayers, he deployed yesterday to Afghanistan as a D.O.D adviser, to a brigade C.O., on crime scene preservation, evidence collection and legal requirements after completing combat infantry and urban combat training. He is an expert pistol shot and can handle an M-16/M-4 rifle well. He is 50 and will be starting bicycling on his return next October, as he retired as a LT from our Sheriff's department last month and had time to start along with his new wife. Recommendations for good road bikes for them will be appreciated.
