First commute on this season's fresh snow (Dec 18) - about five cm in Burnaby high ground, tapering to slush on the Lougheed, and then just wet roads in Vancouver. But I was amazed at the number of tire tracks on the CVG at 7:30 am, about a dozen in each direction. Usually on a snowy morning I only see one or two tire tracks before my own. Could be that a lot of them are starting in Vancouver, where it's merely raining, and then finding out when they get to Burnaby that it has turned to snow, but it's too late to turn back.

But the snow is still soft enough that you can recover from the bike going a bit loose. But I am not looking forward to tonite's snowfall warning.
