Sunday trail ride

So, today was our first trip to a rails to trails site. Started at the north end of the Seminole Wekiva trail, rode almost 8 miles down, turned around and had lunch trailside. 16 miles isn't very far, but it's the farthest ride for my sister in law who is the most out of shape.

About 4 miles out of the trailhead, we ran into a race. Apparently, there was an Orlando Road Club race in town, and having them blow by on the road at 20+ MPH while we're on the trail at 8 is both impressive and discouraging (felt like I was riding with training wheels again).

Nice trail, lots of woods, lots of commercial real estate, bike shops, eateries right on the trail. We'll be back, we'll get all 28 miles of that trail covered soon enough, then maybe work on heading toward Oviedo on the cross Seminole trail.
